Three Wired Mice – See How They Run
By Tiffany Perle, Senior Product Marketing Manager
Hate dealing with batteries in your gadgets? Well, today I’m excited to announce three new additions to the Microsoft Hardware mouse roster, all wired and under $30: the Express Mouse, Comfort Mouse 3000 and Comfort Mouse 6000.
Let’s start with the Express Mouse. It’s perfect for people that need a comfortable, stylish mouse and don’t want to deal with batteries. Whether you’re surfing the web, working on a report or playing games, the ambidextrous design and smooth top case will keep you comfortable. The mouse also includes BlueTrack Technology that lets you mouse almost anywhere, even on difficult surfaces that are rough, glossy or soft. And the new color options will add some pop to your PC. Express Mouse will be available in Flint Grey and Hibiscus Red in April, and Turf Green, Dahlia Pink, Ultramarine Blue and Coast Blue in June. All for just $19.95.
Also joining the Hardware line-up are the Comfort Mouse 3000 and Comfort Mouse 6000, offering comfortable, reliable wired navigation at an affordable price. The Comfort Mouse 3000 is a great choice for the productive ambidextrous mouse user, and – for the righties – the Comfort Mouse 6000 will fit you like a glove to offer more control as you mouse. Both the 3000 and 6000 come equipped with BlueTrack Technology so let go of your mouse pad and track freely! Comfort Mouse 3000 and 6000 will be available in April for $19.95 and $29.95 respectively.

If the comfort mouse 6000′s USB polling rate can overclocked to 500Hz, i’m sold.
The Comfort Mouse 4500 CANNOT be overclocked to 500Hz.
Please fix this.

Interesting Microsoft (or any other major manufacturer) still does not make a full featured left hand mouse. Given that Bill Gates is also left handed

Can Microsoft please return to manufacture the orginal Media Center Remote Control – it remains the best ever and no competitor comes close to the original.

I’ll second that on the left handed, “ergonimic” mice. Right now there’s only one that I know of, a Logitech wireless, if they discontinue that then I’ll be a sad puppy.

Haggisbreath: As a fellow lefty I understand your frustration and I would like to share this with you.

I was just remarking the other day, I have not had a request from a lefty in over 10 years. I think leftys just get used to using mouse right handed; somewhat like golf.

I hope that new Comfort Mouse 6000 scroll wheel clicking isn’t as hard as the old model, 4500.

I am really very excited about this product, as I am tortured with hand and carpal problems and this seems to be a great solution. Moreover, at last, again, a product with detent scroll wheel, which is something so useful for me!
Could you please give us specific details to when is the Microsoft Comfort Mouse 6000 will be finally available in Europe and especially in Greece? How come is it available through Amazon.com and other e-shops, but only for the USA? Are we lower rated customers in Europe?
Thank you very much, I am waiting for an official and valid reply.
